MS Bruvik
This photograph captures the moment when passengers disembark from MS Bruvik.A classic fjord boat from 1949, at the quay in the magnificent Geirangerfjord.
Built by Glommen Mekaniske Verksted in Fredrikstad, MS Bruvik was originally designed as a local passenger vessel, know as a sea bus, to service routes in Nordhordland. She had her maiden voyage for Indre Nordhordlands Dampbåtlag in July 1949, and continued in service until the company merged into Bergen Nordhordland Rutelag in 1974.
After several ownership changes, including periods in Finland, she was repurchased to Hordaland in 1994. Since 2016, she has been owned by Cruise Service A/S.
